How to Trade Stocks with Your Phone

In this day and age of awesome technology, a common plan of action is to use a smartphone to trade the stock market with. I can’t say that this is a terrible idea; however, the solution is not very black-and-white. There is quite a bit of gray involved so I wanted to use an easy-to-follow chart that summarizes now “how” to use your phone to trade, but rather, “if” you should even be using your phone.

R.J says:

rule number 1 with scarping once you place a bet never get out of the charts for a few seconds but follow the price action every second and exit the trade in 1-3 minutes.

Piotr says:

Dear Clay,
Do you think it would be possible do scalping with a Tablet?
If yes what the smallest size would be acceptable?

J Smooth says:

So what would you suggest a person that works 12-14 hrs a day That can't have a laptop on them at work? I want to learn but it is a hurdle I'm trying to get over before going all in on education. I don't have the capital to quit my job for a year to learn the market

Crypto TA N' Talkin' Ish says:

It's not necessarily the phone rather the connectivity with your trading platform, skill level, and ease of access.

Master Troll says:

Guys, listen to me when I say this. Technical analysis is full of shit. If you've ever gone to a University and studied portfolio theory, you will know.

Mitch Kreitlein says:

I'm pretty new to trading (actually never traded yet, just trying to learn the market first) and am wondering how you day trade without the 3 day trades in 5 consecutive days rule applying. I've watched some of your live trading videos and see that you often buy and sell in the same day and the numbers often add up to more than 3 trades. How do you do this?

Andy Peiffer says:

When are the live trades?!?

Jamie Dimon says:

The question should be: "Do you really need to use your phone?" Probably the only people that need this are day traders or scalpers if something goes crazy while they're not at their computer.

Khalid Young says:

I trade strictly off my phone during the day as I work from 9-5 but all of buy and sell points are made the pre market. Idk why you think it's so risky, I have the ability to do most of what I can do on a pc with my phone using stocktracker and etrade. But you are correct about trying to "day" trade using a phone , it's just way to hard as it takes at least 10-15 secs to sell using a phone, …though I did made a very good gain on rtnb day trading from my phone 😉

Funko pop Central says:

I wish I could sit at a computer but I go to school so I could only sell during like lunch and I don't want to bring my computer to lunch

Nicholas Huss says:

I wouldn't trade with my phone even if I was using it to short $cmg..it's hard enough to make money with screens, phones just increase the chance in playing the guessing game. If u want to trade with a phone just me give me ur money and I'll save u the aggravation of losing it urself. Haha

IGGSIGGS16 says:

Hey clay, your videos are really helping out. I'm a 12 year old and wanting to become a trader someday. Can middle schoolers like me apply to your courses?

C P Beauvoir says:

Clay, you're so right about not using penny stocks with your cell phone. I loss $1,234 between yesterday and today all because the price dropped way too fast for me to be able to manage it on my cell. Which brings me to the realization that I have to get CTU asap. I had planned on saving the entire amount but I think I'll probably just do the monthly payment.

jtipple1 says:

Hey! What's ur suggestion on trading when you don't have 25,000 dollars? 3 day trades a week basically. I've been trying overnight trading and playing the gaps. I've doubled my money and lost it all back doing this. Seems extremely risky. Your thoughts?

Pendar Farahmand says:

That opening scene is sometimes is exactly how I feel, it's just a toy. Don't bring a toy to a trading game.

Javier Correa says:

Is Robinhood safe to trade with?

Abraham Osrs says:

I'm honestly comfortable trading with my phone, but I do agree that risk is higher. but trading with my phone fits my schedule perfectly

Plugged In Films says:

I've been trading with my iPhone for the past few months on TD or TOS app and it's pretty much the same, I like it!

Brutus Empire says:

ACTUALLY SOME ONE SHOULD CREATE A PLATFORM TO GET IN AND OUT OF POSITIONS FAST ON A PHONE! PHONES ARE $1,000 NOW. SAME AS LAPTOPS! PLATFORM WITH HOT KEYS! MAKE IT HAPPEN CLAY!! 🙂 AND CHANGE THE TITLE TO SHOULD I TRADE WITH MY PHONE BECAUSE THIS IS NOT A HOW TO VIDEO 🙂
