We are right in the middle of the 2020 stock market crash, and as a dividend stock investor, I have already been learning many lessons. Today’s video highlights my top 5 lessons from the stock market correction so far, two recent dividend growth stock purchases, and a summary of my recent PPC Ian Dividend Investing For Everyone meet-up in Dixon, CA. Get ready for a long, exciting #dividend #stock #investing video.

0:00 Introduction – Today’s dividend investing video will cover five lessons I have learned from the recent 2020 stock market crash, two dividend stocks I just purchased (SBUX and MMM), and also my notes from our recent PPC Ian Dividend Investing For Everyone meet-up in Dixon, CA.
2:40 SEGMENT 1 – LESSON 1 – I am going to focus on my Ride Or Die stocks.
4:26 Take Home Exercise – Write down what you have learned from the 2020 stock market crash (so far).
7:43 Here are my Ride or Die stocks – these are my favorite dividend stocks.
12:32 What do I mean when I talk about a premium quality stock?
14:45 SEGMENT 1 – LESSON 2 – I’m ready for change in my sin stock strategy.
20:37 Takeaway – I love stocks that have a multitude of wins (both for me and for society).
25:46 Takeaway – The stock market crash has renewed my focus on investing and has made things interesting and compelling for me.
27:31 SEGMENT 1 – LESSONS 3, 4, and 5 – The stock market is inefficient, it’s important to pick the right brokers, and dividend investing works very well in a down market!
45:07 Takeaway – I am very focused on debt here. I want to raise allocation to my stocks that manage their debt well, like SBUX and MMM.

Hey everyone, as mentioned at the end of today's video, I have some brand new custom merch in my store! The shirt that I wear in today's video, in fact, is one of the new items! You can learn more about my merch store on my blog here: https://www.ppcian.com/ppc-ian-dividend-investing-merch-is-now-available/ Your support supports my YouTube channel, and the merch (in my humble opinion) is super cool (I personally wear it all the time). Wishing you all the greatest! Wishing you all the wisdom to navigate the crazy stock market right now. Please share in the comments below your thoughts on the crashing/correcting stock market!

AC DETO says:

Thanks Ian I’m going to buy some more MMM tomorrow

Nishal Nandwani says:

Miss the notebook in the outdoors..lol

MINDS in Motion says:

Ian you are very tall

Picture it Perfect Art Works says:

Love the car video! And how you're sticking to your guns on sin stocks. We're actually a little heavier than we thought we'd be on MO but that's alright. With the pullback we're looking for some good buys in more premium stocks like MMM. Can't wait for more opportunities!

We switched from Robinhood to a bigger name broker last Nov-Dec time frame and we admit we miss the platform and some of the features of Robinhood but feel a lot better and secure with our funds in a bigger name broker. Not to mention we are enjoying having an automatic DRIP.

Wish everyone well and hope everyone gets in on some great deals while this fickle season lasts. It's bound to be over before we know it!

Scott From Maryland says:

Thank you for everything Ian. I am a dividend investor now. I've been going in heavy on Disney, Verizon, CVS, IBM Delta airlines, Wells Fargo, Bank of America. Besides dividends, I think Disney's worldwide expansion will overtake Netflicks so the stock can double over 10 years. I think the CVS/Aetna combo will offer innovation only they can pull off.

Mr Big Time says:

Ian thug-life 😎 the original gangster !

Fausto Albamonte says:

All the stock I purchased in 2008-2010 are still in Green! Still up, between 15 to 240%! The lesson is… quality stock purchased in a market crush will reward you for loooong time.

Bubblewatch says:

Bought Corona for Super Bowl… but then my team lost.

Rich Naidu says:

Really good to see the Holy Spirit guiding you to break off the sin stocks and invest in positive/edifying stock.

Thanks for the great content in this video Ian. I have many or your stocks, 3M is a great stock, I'm accumulating as much as I can these days. Take care my friend.

You’re very much so still a Thug life investor in my humble opinion. I followed you on Facebook and hope to be one of the members in the community, I recently acquired Visa and Microsoft and wanted to know what you thought of them. Also, if anyone is interested in starting to invest, this link is the easiest and commision free trading where you can plan out companies with the charts provided. Robinhood, thought I’d mention it since it was indirectly talked about in this video. Helps me and helps you… You now have a claim to a stock like Apple, Ford, or Facebook. In order to keep this claim to your stock, sign up and join Robinhood using my link. https://join.robinhood.com/oleksad12
