There are many different styles of trading. It’s up to you to determine what type of trader you are. What trading styles appeal to you and your lifestyle?

You need to check out this interview I did with Marin Katusa.

Whether you trade long or short, my number-one rule is cut losses quickly. I learned the hard way, but I’m grateful for what I learned from this failure: how to manage my risk.

I trade long; I trade short. I’ve been successful using both strategies.* A big key is following trends. Focus on stocks hitting new highs in any sector. Don’t try to predict the next big winner.

Another key: Always follow the market. Even when you’re not trading. Look for volatility — plays on the way up and down.

The beauty of trading is you find what suits your personality and what you’re comfortable with. It’s all about you.

This even applies to your broker preferences. I had no idea stockbrokers still existed. I use all online brokers. The internet is the future. Maybe that’s your style, or are you more traditional?

Martin has a cash style. I’m more of a FLASH style; I motivate my students to learn.

Watch me play the long vs. short game for some of the hottest stocks. And you won’t believe what happens at minute 30!

Do you prefer trading long or short? What are your predictions for the next 12 months? Leave a comment and tell me which stocks you’re watching now!
