Today was interesting for sure.. I saw the first move down—went to catch it—didn’t trust myself because I chased it—exited early—then took 2 full losses after that… So the losses that followed the chase. I had to evaluate those and know that I was REALLY trying to make something happen after the first trade didn’t work out as planned.
Good thing I don’t give up easy 😉 After that—I was able to get my bearing and make some things happen. It can be and has been easy for me in the past to get too wrapped up on the emotions of losing a trade. I do have a 3 loss in a row policy—I will stop if I take 3 losses in a row (although I have made it 4 a time or 2 REALLY depending on the situation).. So had my next trade been a loss, I would have been done for the day. But as soon as that 2nd trade was taken out- I knew my timing was off and that the REAL trade was coming.

I got my head straight from that point on—and chose to step away after watching it move back up and knowing my brain was still wrapped around the short. Part of being a Responsible Day Trader is recognizing when your personal bias is completely opposite from the ACTUAL bias, having the awareness to see it for what it is and choosing to step away. You may even choose to just take a breather—sit back and reevaluate what you’ve seen.. Start from the top and work your way down to make sure your mind is on the right path.. If none of that can get your head back in the right direction then walking away is your safest bet!

Well, its that time of day! Time to pick up the kiddos and hear all about the new year! Also excited to start working on some projects that lets my heart know—- whatever struggle I’ve had along the way.. every SECOND of it was worth it—because it allowed me to be where I am today and allowed me to meet some amazing people along the way!! Much love good peeps! Will catch y’all around soon! DISCLAIMER/DISCLOSURE

I traded the same time as you today 9:30am to 11:30am. Short at 2846 out at 2844. Then short again at 2840 out at 2838. I was afraid so I didn’t hold to the drop of 2834. And I only trade 1 contract. Yes, I learned a lot by watching your videos 😉
