Sometimes you’re knocking it out of the park—other days you’re just happy to make it on base… While one way seems to sound more efficient and ideal—BOTH can bring you home! Today was one of those base hits days for me. I could see all the reasons for short but just struggles to get into them.. I’d see one set up, watch it go by—see another set up—watch it go by..

But that really didn’t bother me—because I did take set ups, just ones that had a lot smaller probability of running for the long term. And truth be told—I’m proud of the way I traded. Holding on, simply because you want a trade to go further instead of exiting when you see the signs is a HUGE problem is this business. It allows our ego, instead of what the market it clearly telling us, to take over and THAT my friends, is a sure-fire way to get stopped out with a loss.

Trying to tell the market what you want it to do, instead of listening to what it is telling you is probably the number 1 reason a seasoned trader will take a loss— myself whole-heartedly included. We can not make the market do a thing. For the most part, most of here aren’t market movers… simply following along with what the market is doing, learning how to anticipate the next move and holding on for the ride.

If it doesn’t bring you much profit, but you still did the right thing regardless—is what I call “Nickel and Dime-ing our way to freedom” my friends! You wouldn’t simply throw away a dime because its not a 20.. enough of those and you’ll have way more in your pocket than you ever thought!

Okay—back to work my friends! Glad I got to get in a few trades today and even though there’s a lot to do— I know that every second is worth it! You know the saying—when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life? Well, I haven’t truly worked in YEARS!

Much love my friends and we’ll catch y’all back here soon 🙂 DISCLAIMER/DISCLOSURE

Thanks Lindsey. It's great being able to look over your shoulder while you trade and yes consistently making $100 a day would be a nice start.
